Meet the team

Marilyn Sommerville

President

Marilyn will graduate from King School, CT, in 2027. An avid, lifelong reader, Marilyn is passionate about spreading access to books through her community and giving children the gift of reading. She is dedicated to making a positive impact on children’s lives and is excited to work with her chapter to spread Turning Pages’ mission. In addition to volunteering with Turning Pages, Marilyn is a competitive equestrian, debater, artist, and guitarist. Through these experiences, she has developed a strong work ethic, a creative problem-solving mindset, and a dedication to pursuing her passions. In her spare time, she enjoys cuddling with her pets, reading, baking, and spending time with her family.

Saoirse Zucker-Malone

Media Advocacy Coordinator

Saoirse will graduate from King School, CT, in 2026. Having developed an interest in writing from the books she read as a child, she is committed to sharing her positive experiences with her community. She aims to grant others these opportunities through her volunteer and extracurricular work, encouraging them to engage in literature and be willing to learn. In her own time, Saoirse is a varsity debater and leads a club that focuses on building writing confidence and skills. Additionally, she is on the varsity soccer team, plays piano, and tutors students in math and English. 

Tyler Srihari, who prefers to go by Ty, will graduate from the King School in Stamford, Connecticut, in 2027. Ty is extremely fond of all things STEM, focusing mainly on Mathematics and Computer Science. He joined Turning Pages to help share his love of reading with children and became a Donations Coordinator to better use his talents to assist his chapter. Outside of Turning Pages, he enjoys biking, coding, and playing board games with his family. Ty is excited to help the children of his community love reading in whatever ways he can. 

Penelope Reiter

Events Coordinator

Penelope will graduate from the King School in Stamford, Connecticut, in 2026. She is passionate about providing everyone with equal opportunities and access to education. Although she has become busier as she discovers her interests and works towards college, Penelope still finds time to enjoy reading in her free time. Additionally, she is an active member of the Creative Writing Club, where she participates in story writing and creating poems. Penelope spends most of her time practicing volleyball, whether it be for school or her club team. Additionally, she debates, is a 2nd-degree black belt in Taekwondo, and loves to travel.
